ABOUT

The Endowment Project is a purpose-driven for-profit education technology company. We are building the philanthropic infrastructure for public schools.

Public and Private colleges, universities, and private high schools have dedicated alumni development organizations that nurture strong community and allegiance and then harvest donations from these communities that further the school's mission. Public high schools do not have this. Why?  We couldn’t come up with a good reason, so we’re building The Endowment Project to ensure that public high school students, faculty, and staff have a more robust high school experience. We are building the infrastructure to enable public high schools to create strong and loyal communities and steward the generosity of those communities. And we think we will change the face of public education in America. This is The Endowment Project.

WHAT?

The Endowment Project is a technology- and human resource-enabled platform designed to help public high schools build communities from which capital is raised, managed, and deployed to enhance the educational experience for millions of students, faculty, and staff at public high schools across the U.S.

WHY?

Sophisticated alumni development teams use advanced technology, experienced human resources, and best-in-class processes to create large and loyal communities from which billions of dollars a year are harvested to enhance the education experience at private colleges, public colleges, and independent private high schools, YET these valuable activities do not occur at public high schools, to the detriment of the millions of public high school students nationwide. TEP was created to address this gap and create greater equality in the education experience between public and private high schools.

HOW IT WORKS:

TEP uses its proprietary technology and human-capital-driven processes combined with best-in-class alumni development strategies to build philanthropic infrastructure, establish and build strong and loyal school communities, raise capital from those communities, and appropriately manage the raised assets to benefit the students, teachers, and administrators of U.S. public high schools. The TEP process has been developed to maximize its impact on the US public education experience for the millions of students, faculty, and administration who attend and work at U.S. public high schools.

PARTNER WITH A FOUNDATION: The Endowment Project partners with existing education foundations to serve as their development and administrative back-office function.

FUNDRAISE: The Endowment Project creates the database of donors, expands the school community, and provides fundraising services for each of its partner foundations.

MANAGE CAPITAL: The Endowment Project pools and manages the capital from each foundation. The advantage of this scale is higher returns.

MANAGE GRANTS: The Endowment Project manages grant requests, funding, and reporting.
